FAQ
How do you photograph engagments?
All sessions are photographed using 2 rolls of medium format square film (12 exposures per roll), naturally lit, photographed on a Yashica D camera. I love using film as it creates a different essence to the photographs. This camera was introduced to be my a friend while traveling overseas and ever since, I've been hooked capturing moments in life with film. Even though it’s analog, I provide cleaned high resolution scans for you so that you can enjoy the look of film with all the benefits of digital.
Why Film?
Film photography always has a nostalgic look that remains appealing even today. It allows you to capture timeless moments with a unique aesthetic that film specifically provides. Timeless, nostalgic, in the moment, originality- these terms perfectly describe the charm and unique properties of film photography and why I prefer to use it for engagement sessions.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in New York City, with frequent visits to the Twin Cities in MN and Palm Springs area in California, but I am available to travel across the US and overseas.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 4 weeks (sometimes less depending). You can download all the photos from the gallery, able to share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints all from the same link!
How many pictures will we receive?
It all depends! Since our sessions will be with film photography- there are 12 frames per roll, however this does not mean all 12 frames will come out perfectly (though I always strive for it!). Each standard session comes with 2 rolls of film, the goal is to have 10-15 usable frames in total. Extra rolls can be added to the session at an additional cost.
Are you fully insured?
Yep. I am a fully insured business professional and I also come prepared for every engagement with back up equipment. If your venue requires proof of insurance, I am happy to pass that on to the appropriate contacts, upon request.
